This fantastic photo montage, signed by Archie Gemmil, captures the most famous moment of his career, which came in the 1978 World Cup Finals.  Gemmill went on a jinking run, cutting through the Dutch defense, and scoring a spectacular goal, which is regularly rated as one of the greatest goals ever scored in a World Cup match.
Scotland needed to win their final match against European Powerhouse, the Netherlands by three goals to progress to the knockout phase and it looked almost possible as on 68 minutes as Gemmill played a magnificent one-two with Kenny Dalglish, sprinted into the box and hit a glorious shot past the Dutch keeper. The goal put Scotland 3 – 1 up and raised Scottish hopes that they could achieve the impossible. Despite their valiant efforts Scotland could not score the extra goal they needed, but their incredible victory is still rated as Scotland finest hour in International soccer.
